who is "cal ear"?

cal ear is a music project started by claire a. (me!) shortly after starting to learn guitar in 2020 after the start of the pandemic. i started uploading my music to soundcloud for fun, and soon after, i realized i wanted to play around with this project a little more. i play guitar (electric and acoustic) and bass, and i occasionally tinker with my melodica, keyboard, and kalimba. i use garageband to produce everything :p. if you like indie rock, indie folk, or midwest emo, stick around, you might enjoy what i make!
